It was hard to believe, but that e-mail was real. TF1 contacted me to make an appearance in their program “50′ Inside – Le mag” on Saturday 11th July 2020. A very fun shoot with two charming journalists listening to our passion.

Not a little proud, here is the video of the broadcast of this rather special episode of “50 Minutes Inside” dedicated to the island of Madeira!

We shot a whole day but unfortunately not all the footage could be kept and/or broadcast. It’s often like that with TV, it seems. In any case the TF1 team really liked the island and I think that more documentaries on Madeira are to be expected.

I am delighted for my friend Selim and the whole team of the Wanderer who also appears in the video. A nice boost to their beautiful project.

5 Ways To Increase Your Instagram Growth - By Benjamin BEGIN - Post Cover by Claudio Schwarz

5 Ways To Increase Your Instagram Growth Today

Cover Design that explain post: 5 Ways To Increase Your Instagram Growth

When it comes to Instagram growth, these are some of the most effective ways of drastically stepping up your game
Regardless of the stage or “niche” your page is in:

1- Refine your profile

Tip 1 - Refine your page profile

Your page’s profile is the first thing that everyone will see.

If it’s confusing or unattractive, the likelihood of your page visitors turning into new followers is dramatically lower than if you have a good looking logo. A bio that is succinct and that fully resonates with your niche.  It needs to clearly define what your audience can expect if they follow you.

2- Engage and interact with your community / audience

If you don’t engage with your audience on a daily basis, you’re missing out on that extra engagement that will play a major role towards your page’s growth, by replying to their comments and dm’s, which also enhances your page’s health score.

Tip 2 - Engage and connect with your audience

By engaging with your audience, you will also deepen your connection on a mutual level, which helps you form a sense of community around your page, being an essential part of Instagram growth.

3 - Use Instagram’s features in your favor

If you’re not using Instagram’s features every day, you’re missing out on that extra reach and engagement that will have a massive effect on your page’s performance in the mid to long run.

Tip 3 - Use Instagram’s features in your favor

You’re also wasting the opportunity of enhancing your page’s health score, as Instagram benefits pages that use their features to the max. Make sure you use your stories, IGTV, and post the right way.

4- Incite your audience to turn on post notifications

You can rather do this by adding a CTA in that sense on your posts or on your stories.

By doing so, your current followers will be able to get a notification every time you post. It will consequently increase your reach and engagement from “Home”, leading to higher initial engagement levels.

That is a absolute fundamental if you want that your post’s ranking on hashtags and features on the explore page.

Tip 4 - Incite your audience to turn on post notifications

5 - Deepen your connection with your community through Instagram stories

Count your audience in – let them engage and interact with your stories.

Not only will they appreciate the fact that you’re making room for them to interact with your page, but you’ll also increase your engagement levels.  It will also result in a drastic improvement of your page’s overall performance.

Be creative and try to use different types of polls, Quizzes, ask me a question, etc.

Tip 5 - Deepen your connection with your audience through Instagram stories

Also, use your stories as the background of your page. Your feed should be the place in which you should showcase highlights, as the “face” of your page. Your stories should serve as the “behind the scenes”. Maybe a bit less perfected content that doesn’t have a place on your main wall.

Madeira Island: 10 highly photogenic spots you cannot miss for incredible pictures

Planning a trip to Madeira?
My top 10 favourite spots to take amazing photos in the island.

Top 1: Pico do Arieiro

Pico do Arieiro is the highest point in Madeira Island (1817m). It offers great possibilities in terms of photography, especially at sunset and sunrise. If you are an active person, it’s the starting point to one of the nicest walks on the whole island (Pico Arieiro – Pico Ruivo).

#BenTips | From a local

For you to catch amazing photos here, you need to make sure that the clouds are lower than the mountain itself. To do this, you just need to check the live webcam on the web.

By doing this you don’t spend useless energy going there on a cloudy day and seeing… nothing.

Ideal spot for couples photography, family, engagement and wedding photography.

Top 2: Fanal Forest

Fanal is, for me, an iconic place in Madeira. The forest of Fanal is protected by the UNESCO program because some of the trees here are more than 200 years old. If you want to feel all the magnetism of the island, this is the place you want to be. With clouds or sun, in summer or winter, this place is always worth it. The mood here is somewhat unique. If you are a nature lover, just go.

#BenTips | From a local

It’s good to spend a little time in Fanal. The road to find it is so beautiful that you’ll definitely stop a few times. You can enjoy the nature up there by walking for hours in the valley of Fanal. The feeling is amazing and the view up there is something else, the trees are very special!

Top 3: Ponta de São Lourenço

Ponta de São Lourenço offers some great landscapes. It’s a place I like to go when it comes to couples photography. Be careful as it is often very windy but often worth it.

#BenTips | From a local

  • It’s oriented East, perfect for sunrise photography!
  • Go in the mornings! It’s less cloudy and there’s fewer people around. If you have time, do one of the best walks in Madeira; Levada de Ponta Sao Lorenzo.
  • Ideal spot to shoot the moon and milky way. With “Ponta de são Lourenço” you have the best scenery for these kinds of photos.
  • Ideal scenery for drone photos!

Top 4: Seixal Beach

Seixal is one of the largest black sand beaches that you can find in Madeira. It offers great possibilities for romantic couple photography. It’s for sure a spot to put on your list for amazing photography around the island!

#BenTips | From a local

  • Include Seixal into a north coast tour. All the north coast is amazing and full of scenic spots to take amazing pictures.

Top 5:  Encumeada

Encumeada roads offer superb landscapes over the north and south coasts of the island and the valleys of Ribeira Brava and São Vicente. They offer many places to stop the car and take very scenic photographs. The best way to drive through Encumeada is to go to Ribeira brava, take the road to Sao Vicente and turn left where it’s written; Encumeada.

#BenTips - Advice from a local

Go when the clouds are LOW in Funchal. It means that you’ll easily pass over them and get even more of this “WOW” factor. Also, as always, sunrise and sunsets in Encumeada are something else and will take your photos to the next level.

Top 6: Tropical Garden

From all of the garden’s in Madeira, the Tropical Garden is for me, one of the most photogenic places on the island. If you buy the cable car ticket from Funchal, the entrance to the Tropical Garden is included. You can also get there easily from Funchal by bus. The entrance to the garden is 10€.

#BenTips | From a local

There is another little garden that you can walk through, completely for free. To find it, you just need to pass the big bridge in Monte and go down, don’t hesitate to walk around and explore. Lose yourself in the green vegetation under the bridge. This little garden is so beautiful.

Top 7:  Faja dos Padres

In my opinion, Faja dos Padres is one of the most underrated treasures of Madeira. Close to Funchal, you’ll find a small piece of heaven, a unique place that only Madeira can offer. Here you’ll find some organic farms and a lovely restaurant with direct access to the beach. The only way to access this place is by cable car which makes the experience even more enjoyable as you enjoy the view on your way down.

#BenTips | From a local

  • Faja is amazing at sunset time
  • It’s good to spend half a day there.
  • You can rent some of the rustic houses there which are lovely. Visit site here.
